A Clear, Async Process, No Calls Required

Everything happens via email and shared documents. You do not need to get on a call, sit through a pitch, or wait for a meeting slot. Here is exactly how it works from the first email to ongoing monitoring, with nothing hidden and nothing rushed.

Zero Calls required
2 Days Response time
Async Work at your pace
Clean workspace with laptop and documents for async work
Peaceful writing space representing focused work time

Because You Have A Book To Write

Most agencies want to book you into a 45 minute discovery call. Then another call to present the proposal. Then check in calls. Then strategy calls. Before you have done any actual work, you have spent four to five hours on the phone, and none of that time went into your book.

I do not work like that.

Everything I do is delivered in writing. Email, documents, spreadsheets, reports. You read them when it suits you. You reply when you have thoughts. If you write in the mornings, respond to me in the afternoons. If you are travelling, respond next week. It genuinely does not matter to me when you respond, as long as we can keep the project moving.

Async work is faster, clearer, and more respectful of your time.

Every recommendation is documented. Every decision is captured in writing. Nothing gets lost in a we talked about it that one time fog. Six months from now, when you want to remember why we chose a particular category, the answer will be sitting in your project folder ready to reference.

And if you ever want a call, we can schedule one. It just is not required to work together, and you will never be pushed into one.

Comprehensive audit report on desk with analytics
1

Audit

I review your current Amazon listing, metadata, categories, keywords, cover, blurb, and market positioning. You fill out a short intake form, and I do the rest of the work behind the scenes.

What I Look At

  • Every backend metadata field on your KDP listing, including the ones most authors forget exist
  • Your two selected Amazon categories, plus every category you should be in but are not
  • All seven keyword slots, and which are wasted versus which are actually working
  • Cover, evaluated for genre fit, thumbnail visibility, and click through appeal
  • Blurb, analysed for hook, conflict, stakes, and conversion structure
  • Series page if applicable, including read through optimization
  • Author Central setup across all Amazon regional stores
  • A Plus Content if present, or opportunity assessment if not
  • Current Amazon Ads performance if you are running them
  • Top twenty competing books in your specific sub genre
  • Review count, rating patterns, and reader sentiment themes
  • Pricing strategy compared to genre norms
  • Kindle Unlimited page reads if you are in KU

What You Get

  • A comprehensive audit report delivered as PDF and editable DOCX
  • Prioritised list of issues, sorted into critical, important, and nice to have
  • Estimated impact for each recommendation so you know what will move the needle most
  • Everything delivered within 5 to 7 business days of receiving your intake form
  • 30 days of email support to ask follow up questions

2

Strategy

Based on the audit findings, I build a clear, prioritised action plan tailored to your book, genre, and goals. No generic templates. No copy paste strategies from someone else book. Every strategy is custom built for your specific situation.

What Is Included

  • New category recommendations with clear rationale for each choice
  • Full keyword strategy with research data behind every keyword
  • Rewritten metadata, including title, subtitle, series info, and description where applicable
  • Blurb rewrite or specific improvement recommendations with examples
  • Amazon Ads strategy if included in your engagement scope
  • Launch or relaunch timeline if applicable, with dates and dependencies
  • Distribution recommendations, wide versus exclusive analysis
  • Priority order for implementation so we tackle high impact items first
  • Timeline expectations for when you should start seeing results

Your Role In This Step

  • Review the strategy document at your own pace, no deadlines from me
  • Ask questions via email, I respond within 2 business days always
  • Approve the direction before any implementation work begins
  • Give honest feedback on anything that does not feel right for your book
  • Trust the technical recommendations, or ask for the reasoning behind them

Implementation

I implement the agreed changes. Metadata updates, category requests, ad campaigns, promo submissions, whatever the strategy calls for. You do not need to touch KDP unless you specifically want to be hands on.

How Implementation Works

  • I handle all the technical work, you do not need to learn KDP dashboards
  • KDP access granted securely through Amazon official sub account permissions
  • Category change requests submitted to Amazon on your behalf through proper channels
  • Keyword updates deployed exactly as strategy specifies
  • Amazon Ads campaigns built and launched from scratch
  • Promo site submissions handled including any application processes
  • Progress updates delivered at agreed intervals, typically weekly or bi weekly
  • All changes documented in a shared tracker for your permanent records

What You Need To Provide

  • KDP account access, or willingness to implement my recommendations yourself
  • Any brand assets, reference materials, or existing marketing collateral
  • Timely responses to questions, usually within 3 to 5 business days works fine
  • Feedback on drafts before they go live so nothing surprises you
  • Trust that the recommendations are grounded in real experience

Monitoring And Optimization

After implementation, I track performance. Category rankings, keyword positions, ad metrics, sales trends. When patterns emerge, I adjust. When something works, we double down. When something does not, we change direction fast.

What I Track

  • Category rankings across all your placed categories, daily monitoring with weekly reports
  • Keyword position tracking to see where your book appears in search
  • Amazon Ads performance including ACOS, impressions, click through, and conversion rates
  • Sales velocity and trends compared to launch or baseline
  • Review acquisition rate and average rating trends
  • Read through rate for series authors so we know if book two is losing readers
  • Pricing sensitivity if we run tests
  • Also of pay per click campaign efficiency over time

What Happens When Things Change

  • Categories that are not ranking get reassessed and swapped for better opportunities
  • Keywords underperforming get tested against alternatives and replaced
  • Ads not converting get paused, restructured, or refocused on what is working
  • Successful patterns get doubled down on with more budget or expanded scope
  • You get honest updates on what is working and what is not

Duration Depends On Your Package

  • Tier 1, 30 days of email support after audit delivery
  • Tier 2, 90 days of post launch monitoring included
  • Tier 3, 6 to 12 month ongoing engagement with monthly reports
  • Custom scopes, monitoring duration matches project needs

Willingness To Trust The Process

You do not need to understand every recommendation. You just need to trust that they are grounded in real experience, and be open to making changes even when they feel uncomfortable at first.

Clear, Written, Respectful Of Your Time

Everything is documented. Nothing gets lost. Here is exactly how you will hear from me during our work together.

Primary Channel Is Email

All communication happens via email so you have a permanent record of every conversation. Search your inbox and find any decision, recommendation, or update.

Shared Documents For Strategy

Detailed strategy work happens in shared Google Docs or delivered files. You can comment, ask questions, or request changes directly on the document.

2 Business Day Response

I respond to emails within 2 business days always. Usually faster. If something is urgent, mark it as urgent and I will prioritise it accordingly.

Weekly Or Monthly Reports

Regular progress reports depending on your package. Never surprises. You always know where the project stands and what is happening next.

Common Questions About How This Works

More questions? Check the full FAQ page for 25 plus detailed answers.

A standalone audit takes 5 to 7 business days. A full Discoverability plus Launch engagement typically runs 8 to 12 weeks depending on your launch date. Full service engagements are ongoing, with an initial setup phase of 4 to 6 weeks. Custom scopes match project needs.

Correct. Everything is handled asynchronously via email and shared documents. You will never need to schedule a call, sit through a pitch, or adjust your schedule for a meeting. If you want a call at any point during our work together, we can arrange one. It just is not required to work together.

Ask them. Email me anytime with questions. I respond within 2 business days always, usually faster. There is no such thing as a stupid question when it comes to understanding your own book strategy.

Amazon KDP has secure sub account permissions that let you grant me limited access without sharing your password. I walk you through the exact setup steps. Access can be revoked at any time through your KDP dashboard. Your primary login credentials never get shared with me.

Absolutely. Tier 1, the Discoverability Audit, is specifically designed for authors who want to do the work themselves. The report includes step by step guidance for every recommendation. If you get stuck partway through and want me to take over implementation, we can upgrade to a hands on tier.

I am based in Scotland, so I work in UK time. But because everything is asynchronous, time zones genuinely do not matter. I work with authors in the US, Australia, Europe, and beyond without any friction from time differences.
